At regional and international levels, the strategy aims to challenge traditional philanthropic practices in order to contribute to a process of transferring power to communities, as well as strengthening collaboration and exchanges between philanthropic actors in the Global South.
At the national level, it aims to shape the Brazilian philanthropic landscape, bolster community philanthropy and the social justice agenda, and mobilize additional resources for communities, political minorities, organizations, collectives, and civil society leaders to support their rights advocacy.
Our partnerships with public sphere actors aim to highlight the independent philanthropy and donors supporting civil society, share knowledge, and foster discussions with various stakeholders, including universities, research centers, civil society organizations aligned with these agendas, and independent media.
Through partnerships with national, regional, and international philanthropic organizations, Comuá Network has actively promoted and participated in events and actions to expand the reach of the community philanthropy and social justice agenda. This contributes to the dissemination of key concepts, practices, and influence.
Rede Comuá's Incidence Program wants to show the impacts of donations in the field of social justice and for local communities. To do this, it is necessary to measure what matters, and mainly to collectively build narratives from the organizations that are at the base of the fight for rights and use them in campaigns that can mobilize the philanthropic ecosystem to increase donations.
Part of Incidência's key strategy is the Strategic Support Program, further detailed here, as well as communication campaigns and the strengthening of key actors.
